Today along Red House Lake I saw my first Monarch Butterfly (CHECK) for the year! The migration has just started moving through the Western New York area!

At first I thought this is to early but no last year I had Monarch caterpillars in June. Going to have to keep an eye out for them.

Gorgeous photos of the Monarch! We are seeing lots of butterflies since we arrived here in NC. I have filled up 16 Gs with my bird and butterfly photos and videos. (forgot my camcorder and camera cables at home so I can’t transfer them to my laptop. RATS!!)

What fun to find your first Monarch. I loved the picture of the kingbird too. They are such elegant birds.
