Busy Weekend

This weekend Young Naturalist J’s family is camping in the Park to help celebrate (a little early) Young Naturalist C’s birthday. We had a great time at her party this evening with her mother and sister (Young Naturalist E) who design an amazing Squirrel Birthday Cake for her. At the party Young Naturalist C mentioned how pleased she was with everyone’s kind comments on the Nature Haikus posted yesterday.

Tomorrow morning/afternoon the Catt. Co. Birdclub will have their summer picnic in the park and I will then be involved with the kids fishing derby during the afternoon/evening hours. I will try to take many pictures and post more about these activities on Sunday.

I really love that first photo! Sounds like such a good time to start the summer. Happy Birthday YNC, you look beautiful in your pretty pink birthday robe and that’s a really cute owl! A squirrel cake sounds so cute.

The first photo is just captivating. It forced me to look more closely. There’s a real sense of forging or changing in there. I liked hearing about your kick-off to summer. You always seem so plugged in to life.
