365 days on flickr
I joined flickr one year ago and uploaded some butterfly pictures to a world which I never expected to change my life like it did. I have learned soo much from everyone and I have made such wonderful friends on the site. I helped Bird Mom in organizing camp flickr and attended some other flickr meets that have been scheduled. I have been encouraged through flickr to create this blog and share all my experiences with everyone. I started a few groups like herps and insects in the hand. So much has been learned by just looking at everyones pictures. I would like to thanks everyone for just being there for me when I need a smile. THANKS!

I’ve never ventured into flickr, but it looks very cool. Quick question for an alien to flickr: what does “no group invites” mean?

Randy, thanks and flickr is a wonderful place to learn about photography if you are ever wondering anything. Regarding the “no group invites”!! Long story! In flickr, there are many different groups set up for people to view similar pictures on interest. For example, I have a group that I run that will focus on insects in the hand. People will submit their pictures with bugs on their hand, ect.. For the past 6 months there has been many groups designed for individuals to invite your picture to be added to their group! Was fun for a while but suddenly it got out of control and then had someone blog one of my pictures in a site with porn next to it. I traced it back to this one group which I had been invited to (and almost everyone in the group had also been blogged in the same way). At that point, I decided not to submit anymore pictures unless it was a group which I wanted to submit it to! Without asking no group invites, one of my pictures could be invited to 5 or 6 different groups. Hope I answered your question but that is a everything in a nut shell.
