Anyone notice that here in Western New York we are having a big arruption (or migration) of the Red Admiral?? Last time I found as many Red Admirals was in back in 2001!!

We have had similar but more often American Ladies–finding them every day.

We had several at our house and we’ve never had them before. My in-laws also had some and called us outside to look at them. They were trying to land on us. They are beautiful.

Funny you should mention that. I had 2 chasing each other while I was out working in the yard the other day (Yes, the sun actually came out once.) and I have never seen them here before. I was very excited to add them to my 2010 yard list. ~karen

I just saw four chasing eachother around in my backyard on Long Island..Very entertaining to watch them chase, take a break, then chase eachother again…Landing on my shoulder as well. Tried capturing a photo of them but they move fast!
