Love the Haiku and the photos go perfectly with it. I lvoe to see those orange feet and legs against the snow. They are such beautiful ducks.

Very nice. I wrote one during a nature hike years ago, myself;
Startled alive
Shy duck
Bursts skyward
(Although taught in school, the 5-7-5 thing is not really the basis or the rule of a haiku.)
