Hey Mr. Tom…another bird identification question…I saw this bird at my feeder: it’s about the size of a sparrow, but dark blue colored and has yellow feet. Any ideas?
LOL Tom! I’ve done that more times! When I pull the camera from my bookbag I don’t check and start accidentally videoing someone or something instead of taking photos! Doink! π
@ Lisa β I bet he thanks you!
@ lvn β heβs the photographer in this and the one working it!
@ Erie β the blooper tape is great for sure! So J
@ Bobbie β we all work on getting better!
@ jayne β he is a great kid!
@ Joan β we all do those mistakes!
@ Ladybug β He really liked this one with the sun! Ya, not everyone has access to those though!
@ Lana β I need to post more bloopers!
@ scienceguy – ?? Need more, Maybe Dark-eyed Junco? You need to get a camera bud!
@ Pam β Tell me about it! I do it all the time!
@ Robin β very funny for sure!
@ Marg β Remember that moment? Was funny for sure! Always bickering, right?
Wonderful, the one video that I did not want on the blog..ends up on the blog! The sun was horribly bright but that was a good day, and did get a few good pictures!!!

Welcome to the mon@rch nature blog and I hope you join us in some of our nature adventures through the Allegany State Park area!
I am a naturalist, field biologist and nature photographer from the Western New York area. I have started exploring nature writing through this blog and it truly has been fun sharing my numerous adventures with everyone. Thanks to the many other authors that help me with my post and they will be sharing some of their nature explorations.
I have always had a latent interest in birds and photography and have been lucky enough to find time to explore these interests over the last few years. I am very thankful to the Cattaraugus County Bird Club for getting me started, sharing their wealth of knowledge and for their wonderful programs. And many thanks to Tom for letting me share some of my adventures and photos on the Monarch Nature Blog.
Thank you for taking the time visiting and commenting on this blog.

Young Naturalist J has a fantastic smile, especially when caught in the act.
