YEAH, second banding station ready for operation!
I finally have the second MAPS banding station all set up (well still have a few little things to do)! All just in time for some early Allegany Nature Pilgrimage doings. Today some friends from Boston came over to visit me at the banding station to do a little birding. We had many great birds like Willow Flycatcher, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Blue-winged Warbler, etc.. I should have taken a picture of it but his girls made some cool decorated sticks and boy they had some knee slapping jokes! This weekend will be so much fun seeing so many old friends (that I only see during the Pilgrimage) and guess who is the key speaker?? Bill Thompson III !! I sure hope Zick is able to come along!!
You must go over to Mary’s View to learn more about this photo being in her blogitat post.
this is a funny photo. I will have to look at her site

I have to say that yours was the most creative.
My photo is just embarrassing, compared to all the cleanliness of the others.

Tom, several bloggers have seen Bill and Julie and I’m kind of jealous :o/ One of these days, I’ll drive a state away to see them but not 5 or 6 states :o)
Your photo was a show-stopper! LOL!
And Susan, I enjoyed your photo so much! It showed that your busy, caring spirit rules.
Have a good weekend, Mon@rch!

@ Rick – thanks and hope you did go over to visit her site!
@ Susan – I wouldn’t be embarrassed, I showed my office computer, not my home computer!
@ Mary – thanks and I know you would rather not hear this but I have seen Julie and Bill manytimes before! But, 5-6 states away, I agree they will be in your area sometime soon! Just from the blogs you see they are always on the road.

You’ve gotta come back to recreation. We don’t believe in the old ball & chain (do we?)

Tom–I must say you won the creative blogitat award, hands down. Tell Susan not to worry–her space is her space! I personally suspect some of the submitters did a little cleaning up & decorating. But it was fun seeing you, and all, on Mary’s View.

All of you are so sweet.
I will be doing some redecorating, though.
And Tom, where did that chain come from?

@ Pam – the girls told me my jokes were not that good! Q: What do you call a fat evergreen? A: A Porcupine!!
@ Grace – I sure do miss not being their!
@ KGMom – I just threw that to Mary at the last second and didn’t take the picture I wanted to take!
@ Susan – doesn’t everyone have a chain at their computer when they go to work? It was a halloween prop! I just think you need to give us some more shots of our birds from those cages!
@ liz – I do try to have a good time from time to time! 🙂
@ Jen – someday I might break free of those chains!
@ Marty – shhh don’t tell anyone! But, my RSS feeds come from my home computer!

That looks painful!

A great picture! As a computer programmer, I have said many times I have felt as though I was chained to my keyboard. That is a perfect visual for the concept of a computer-controlled world. Chain looks heavy, though.
