Fun Skiing Day [Video]
Hmm . . . Pizza after Skiing!
I joined Young Naturalist C, J and E today for a fun skiing day over at the Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville, New York. This is our annual skiing day that we do each year and the kids keep on getting better and better . . . . I continue to have a harder time keeping up with them!! We are always guaranteed many laughs and I will probably feel the fun we had tomorrow morning once my muscles relax!! (ugg) This (2:35 minute) video is only a sample of our excellent day!!

Looks like a fun time. I have never had the opportunity to ski. I have always thought I would like cross country skiing. I don’t know why Ihave come to that conclusion other than I like to be outside and I thought that would be a fun way to get around. I know I would be a sorry bag of bones if I tried skiing now. I hope you aren’t too sore today.

Yesterday was a perfect day for skiing and winter fun. It was not too cold, not windy at all, and there was a little sprinkling of snow. I went X-country skiing at a park near us and covered somewhere between 10 and 20 miles. I had to take advantage of the weather while it lasted. Looks like all of you are good skiers. Glad you had fun.

AWESOME music video! I love the scene and the song, but the best is how you signed off….they didn’t even argue with you! lol.

@ Erie – thanks and just need to be little careful but snowboarding is all about the feeling the hill more than watching!
@ Lana – sure was fun and snow wasn’t evil yesterday!
@ Lisa – XC Skiing and Snowboarding is both lots of work and unless you do it all the time . . . you end up using muscles you don’t normally use!

I am so impressed with those young naturalists and you for taking that video while skiing. I have never done downhill skiing but do cross country although we seldom get just the right conditions for it here. Great video!

The pizza caught my attention first :o) I’ve been skiing only twice and loved it, even when I ended up on my bum.
What a great time for the young naturalists and YOU! Cool video and music. I only wish they had taken a video of you on the slopes :o)

@ Robin – It was great for sure and did have many wonderful trips before and after!
@ Joan – I believe in giving kids opportunities and if you give them the opportunity to ski . . they will do good! Not only that it is good exercise and helps build self confidence.
@ Marg – sure was and yep, new camera! I need to write my review about it here soon! Just need time to type!
@ Mary – Thanks but you didn’t want to see my sorry old ass snowboarding! But you can see me from last years clip!

I guess I won’t be cx skiing any time soon. I have a hard enough time keeping my desk chair that is on casters in the proper position for me to type. Thanks for the warning.

@ Natureshutterbug – They are all great and still mad they wouldn’t let me pay for the pizza!
@ John – no one is out of shape to ski but some just need to be more careful than others.
@ Rondi – sure was and glad you enjoyed it! Really isn’t that big of a deal . . . I am surprised young naturalist J didn’t comment on me including my crash with the video! Camera never hit the snow though! You know, going slow is much harder than going fast! Go figure!
@ Sherry – thanks and we sure did! Actually, Young Naturalist C&E’s mother took care of us all! Hope to be working on some more here soon! Thanks and helps to have good subjects like these guys/gals!
