Signs of Spring
Finally we are starting to see our first signs of spring. Snow is melting . . . animals are coming out of the woods . . . and birds are starting to migrate north!! The sun was most beautiful with Dark-eyed Junco’s singing in the background and a first of the year Hooded Mergansers(CHECK) in Red House Brook.
At the new house we had our first of the year American Robin (CHECK) looking for worms in the yard. I then found our first of the year Tundra Swans (CHECK) migrating overhead while trying to photograph the Robin!! Whoot Whoot Whoot was being said by both me and the swans! Spring is slowly arriving!

I am missing my Tundra Swans this year. They would come over Camp Allegany when we were doing the maple sugaring programs.
