Pileated Woodpecker
Yesterday had a wonderful opportunity to watch a Pileated Woodpecker work up and down a tree. They are such great birdies!

Great picture of the woodpecker. I’ve seen only one variety of woodpecker at my back yard feeder, the downy woodpecker. I have been enjoying the activity at my feeder the past couple days.

The Pileateds are really out and busy this week, laughing all over our woods. That is a nice photo.

Wow. You took that with your iPhone!? Very nice.
I’ve been tracking the pileated at Ridley Creek State Park down here in PA. I’m getting closer, but not quite that close.
Your pic is a great encouragement!
