Just beautiful! I can picture you wandering the woods and spotting her waiting to be discovered among the leaf litter. I can hear your sigh of wonderment as your brain registers the image and you amble over to take a closer look. A sure sign that winter has finally managed to release its grasp and that there is no turning back now!! ~karen

I am a transplanted New Yorker (Lake Champlain, Clinton County) love these photographic visits home. One of my field guides calls this “wet dog trillium”, does it really smell that bad?
