Jack Rabbit [Wordless Wednesday]

Jack Rabbit
Jack Rabbit

I would sneak up on this rabbit in Texas on the ranch and take a few pictures before it would run away. Sneak up on it again . . . . it happened multiple times!! Happy Wordless Wednesday!!

  2. See any jackalopes? We saw several on a trip to Kansas years ago, but oddly enough they were all in bars….

I have never been able to get this close to one. Love the photos. I am glad none of these huge brutes have access to my garden.

  4. I have these jack rabbits sneak up on my quail blocks in the morning and nibble away to their heart’s content!

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I found that frog post/video you mentioned and inserted it into my post. I hope you don’t mind, but it was so great! Thanks for the heads-up and for sharing. I am enjoying your TX adventure immensely. I’m “half-Texan” and absolutely love it there. I’m glad you had the opportunity to experience and share such an adventure. ~karen

  6. So much more slender and streamlined than the rabbits we have up north! Well, that’s evolution for ya.

I didn’t know they had those dark patches at the tips of their ears. I hope you’re having a nice trip, glad you brought your camera.

  8. Is it really a rabbit? it looks like a hare. Great photo as long as I don’t see one in my garden.

Love the photos! I’ve seen one or two in the countryside around London but never close enough to get a decent picture of one.
