My life is about living with nature – here you can live it with me!

Many times people bring me the strangest things for a number of reasons . . . 1) to help identify . . . 2) they are injured and needs to be rehabilitated or 3) they have no clue what to do with it! Late last spring/early summer someone had brought me this cute Meadow Vole because they found it stuck in the dog food container. I held onto it for a short time (to capture a few pictures and observe) before releasing it in the back yard!! These are just a few of the photos that I captured!

There is one of these cute little creatures that lives around my patio. He fusses at me when I am out there sometimes. It is sort of funny. I hear a little eee eee eee then see the leaves/mulch humping and bumping along. I rarely see it except for skittering across a path. Great photos.

  3. Very cute little guy. I love to see their tunnels in the grass. I recall there is a whole section about them in Leopold’s Sand County Almanac.

  5. He is adorable-my cats are always sneaking those little guys into my house. Sadly they are usually dead by the time I find them…
