White-tailed Deer
Over the winter the White-tailed Deer have been feeding on seeds, pine needles and other leafy buds that they have encountered. Now that the snow is slowly melting, we are finding the deer more visible and spending a great deal to time feeding on the grasses that are being exposed again. I have noticed over the past few days they have allowed me the opportunity approach closer than I can normally get without spooking them. I figured these pictures of these deer eating would be perfect for a night that I am out enjoying the most perfect Friday Night Dinner!

Have you ever touched a deer in the wild? I did once when I came upon one laying in a field,It popped up right in front of me.

Deer always look so poised and graceful, even eating. Really nice photos. I love the one with the ears perked totally forward.

Lovely deer pictures. Good thing for them that this is not hunting season, but they are likely protected in the park at all times.

Great photos of the deer Mon@rch. I have never been close enough to get decent pictures of them. I love to see them leaping away with those white flags flying.
