Had the opportunity to watch a bunch of Chickadees feeding on some Sumac and on an Apple Tree today. They were so cute jumping from branch to branch . . . I am surprised these photos were actually in focus!

I am a naturalist, field biologist and nature photographer from the Western New York area. They are delightful little birds. They just ooze cuteness. You did a good job capturing them in a photo. Like you say they are so rarely still long enough to get a photo.

The last good set of photos I got were of chickadees and a downy woodpecker on sumac. Do you think these little birds are onto something or just desperate for a food source.

Whenever I hear the distinct sound of the chickadee, I stop whatever I’m doing to catch a glimpse of them. They never cease to charm and delight me.

Chickadees are among my favorite birds. There is something so cheerily comical about the black cap. And they are so perky.

…as a birdwatcher if I did not have the chickadee I’d feel so depressed during the winter months! I love how you coupled the lively little bird with the thick dark red of the sumac… I dunno pal I wish you had three arms, two to cook spaghetti and band birds while you used the third just to pat yourself on the back for giving us such brilliant photographs. once again; beautiful & gorgeous!
