Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th!

They say that Friday the 13th should be a day when “nightmare-things” happen! Bah-humbug!!! I always try to finding many “good-things” that are happening and even more-so on this unusual day. For example, I visited my Bluebird Box back behind my house this morning and found within the past few days the baby Eastern Bluebirds finally hatched. YEAH!! I can expect many more “good-things” to happening on a day like today . . . . well than I would expect to find “nightmare-things” to be happening! My question to all my blogging friends is “did you have a “nightmare” or “good” Friday the 13th”??

Didn’t start out well, went to get my bus and it didn’t come well one came but it was out of service…..ended up taking a cab so I wouldn’t be late, couldn’t get the papers because they hadn’t been delivered, one of the papers in the feed is missing the company doesn’t know when we’ll get it……………………………but aside from that it’s been okay

    it’s only 9 am though-LOL!

  2. So far so good!
I think that how you perceive or evaluate your day can depend upon how you expect it to be.
It’s easy to discover a disaster if you’re looking for one.
Seeing your fuzz-covered bluebirds has been a great start to what I’m expecting will be a very pleasant Friday the 13th.

  3. I refuse to answer your question on the basis that if I do you know what will hit the fan, BTW the bluebirds are awesome. Have a great day.

  4. Just look at those little fuzz-balls! I’m planning to have a FANTASTIC Friday the 13th! I’m getting a new (used) car today. Retiring my gas-hog Mommy van for a cool car.

  5. Good and bad happens every day. So far, I have no exceptional good or bad Friday the 13th stories. These baby Bluebirds will have to grow up quickly. I wish they would come to Ontario.

  6. Friday the 13th has never been a drag for me. In fact, my Zoey was born on a Friday the 13th.

  8. No, not really. Except for one evening a long time ago when my DH and I were driving home from the grocery store. I commented that for being Friday the 13th, it was a good day. Before DH could reply, we got rear-ended. Just tapped. How ironic.

Let’s see those little bluebirds grow!

  9. A quiet Friday the 13th here. Swallows feeding their babies. The baby juncos under the lettuce hatched. The yard is full of parents getting food. The hummingbirds seem to have already headed south. Your bluebirds look beautiful.

  10. The 13th is always good for me, Friday or no. I was born on the 13th (but a Tuesday).
Well, I mowed, then watered flowers, went out to dinner with my DH. A good day! And, hey, it is FRIDAY.

My Friday the 13th was good. Notice I waited ’til after midnight, just to be sure. We had a Rose-breasted Grosbeak at the evening bird walk.

Not that I believe in the nightmare theory, BUT…. the rack and pinion system went in my car as I pulled up in front of my work that day. I’m SOOOOO happy it didn’t happen any time that I was travelling to Fort drum taking/picking up my son for leave (like 6 trips or so in the last month and a half!) Outside of that, life has been good!

On a side note… Eastern Blue Bird…. that is one of the birds on my list for this summer. I have not seen these yet. Ever. Can I come to your backyard for some photo ops? *grin*
    Have a wonderful Sunday.

  15. I love Friday the 13th – I almost always have a good day. Sadly, I had to miss Friday the Firkenteenth this time (the last one of year) but my anniversary had to take precedence. And heck, it was a great day of birding down at Cape May…
