Sorry Mom; it is true your cat is a potty cat!
My Phoebe (princess) enjoying my slide shows during a practice run.
….
This evening I caught the princess coming out of the bathroom with wet feet! Went over to the toilet and found the seat all wet! What does this mean? I have a potty cat princess? I have been suspicious of this for a while now and finally caught her in the act! She use to only be a tub cat!
…. ugg
Bleck! When my cat started that lovely habit that’s when I started putting the toilet seat completely down. I know it’s a tough concept for a guy, but ick, for me it would be either toilet seat down or cat in the sink for a bath. Bleh!

Ya, isn’t easy but will have to put that seat completely down concept into practice! Then again, it isn’t killing her right? I saw something on TV that said the toilet was cleaner than our kitchen sink?

LOL! My cats loved the bathtub but never bothered with the toilet. I have heard that cats will use a toilet in lieu of a litter box. Do you think that’s the case? And yes, I’ve heard the same thing about kitchen sinks…

I’ve heard that the water in the toilet is alot colder than the water in their bowls, so that’s why they drink it. Of course, they might just want to play in it.
When I get ready in the morning, I have to turn the tap on just a trickle for Pandora, one of my cats, so she can drink it and swipe it with her paw.
The dirtiest thing in a house is the dish rag. Give me toilet water anytime, instead of having to hold a dish rag.

Not only is this just a great shot, rather Dali-like in some ways, I KNEW you had a bird clock!!!!!! 🙂

My cats are living with my ex in KY – and he can deal with the problem. Tucker and Max are both potty cats – the sound of a flush brought them running to play in the water. Ugh. And they say cats are cleaner than dogs???? NO WAAAY!

The only way my cats have found the toilet is when they leap before the look, and end up bursting out of it like a rocket, soaking wet and screaming.
And to answer Mary, yes – you can get your cat to use the toilet. There’s even a kit to help you do it. But do you want your guests to go to use the bathroom and see Puss n’ Boots sitting there with a “Do you mind?” look on his/her face? Or arrive just after Mr. Tiggles has finished, but not flushed? Of course, if you can teach the cat to flush, too, then the problem may be solved.

@ Mary – You are soo lucky! I only wish they were using it! My cats are smart but I don’t think they are that smart!
@ Susan – I also have heard about the water being colder! Ok, no dish rags for the cats!
@ jennimi – thanks and also love this shot! This was one of the original clocks!
@ Laura – thanks for visiting and looks like I only have the problem with one of my cats!
@ Marty – I sure hope mine don’t fall in! But she is getting her feet wet! Maybe she has already?? Didn’t they have something like that on meet the parents movie?

That sounds just marvelous, I’m sure you’re overjoyed with her antics.

Thanks for your comment about the goldfinch who ran into the window, it means a lot to have an expert opinion.
