Interesting. The photos look like they have been enhanced in some way. ??

These are so cool, Tom! What is a trail camera exactly? One you leave out and check later?

  4. That deer shot reminds me of the deer that got my peaches one night! I now know not to leave the peaches on the tree until they are fully ripe.

My sister in Missouri bought a trail camera and put it under her house to find out what was scratching and making a mess. It was an armadillo.

  5. Very fun Tom. Which one did you get? I’ve been thinking about getting one to use when I’m at my parent’s place in Maine- you never know what you’re going to see up there in the North Woods.

  7. Tom–all is forgiven…your absence, that is. Love the trail camera pics. Keep them coming.

  8. Wow Tom, those are great images. What brand of trail cam did you get?
Did you know there were coyotes in the area? I got pictures of 2 a couple years ago and one was a black one!

  9. I assume this is the motion sensitive one, yes? Very nice little bit of technology.

  11. To me, the third one is a young bigfoot.

No, seriously, great images. It will be interesting to read about the surprises that are bound to happen…

  13. Hello Tom! We’ve tried our hand with an old trail cam, but never managed to get pictures like this! We always remember taking the card out and putting it into the computer, feeling like it was Christmas — what would we get? But it always ended up being trees (not that trees aren’t wonderful, but . . .) Probably the camera was just too old =) We enjoyed seeing your ‘captures’ — who knows what you’ll get next?

Very cool! I have been wanting to do this for macro for some time. Unfortunately I don’t live in a large park where I could leave a trail camera, so I’m envious. 🙂

Hope all goes well for you and your family. 🙂

  15. Great photos, Tom. I’ve thought about getting one and setting it up to see what’s passing through our yard at night. My sister set one up in CT and captured photos of black bears.
